Shouldn't there be a link to the official website somewhere on the mainpage? I'd love to see it in the main navigation bar at least. --ImaCarrot 16:57, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
New main page
Ok, so I fooled around with it for a while, and this is what I came up with. maybe The Behemoth could come up with some snazzy custom art to make it look even better? -- AburnettTalk 20:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- If the RSS extension gets installed, the recent news could be the behemoth dev blog. --AburnettTalk 20:57, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Looks pretty snazzy! --ImaCarrot 21:07, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
great work! -kelly
Looks good. The "Recent News" might need to be less wide or maybe move the top articles table to the left? --Sully 21:17, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I was trying to use a percentage for width instead of a static number, but it wasn't quite working. I'll take another look at it and and see if i can fix it up so that it will automatically change to the correct size. --AburnettTalk 21:19, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- (I think) The bottom CC image is preventing the recent news area from being less swide, which is still stretching my screen. Perhaps move it to the very top of the page? Or perhaps in place of the two castlepedia images- having three of the saem image visible is a bit much, don't ya think? --Sully 02:37, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- I totally agree, but I couldn't find any other suitable image to put there. I was hoping maybe we could get The behemoth to do some custom art that we could or something? also, would you mind posting a screenshot of the problem your having with the main page? I'm still a little confused. --AburnettTalk 02:46, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- The main page is wider than my screen, so to see the stuff on the right side (Top articles boxes), I have to scroll horizontally. If the "Development Blog" box wasn't as wide, the top articles box would fit on the screen and I wouldn't have to scroll the screen to the right to see it. --Sully 02:54, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- It sounds to me like either your screen is very small, or your editing in a very low resolution (try setting the resolution higher if that's the case). Either way, theirs not much that can be done short of removing that image from the bottom of the page, and I don't want to do that just yet. I'll try to foll around with it some more and see what else I might be able to do. --AburnettTalk 03:18, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

TopArticles, etc
Can we rename "Top Articles" something more appropriate? "Quick Links," perhaps? Also, can we either get rid of the "Recent Changes" box altogether or make it so it can't be wider than ~200px? --Sully 22:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC)sully
- Why do you want the recent changes box made smaller/removed? Currently its 300px across, and making it 200px would just make it look bad =p Do you think you could take a screenshot of how it looks in your browser? This is a picture of how I'm seeing it: http://i44.tinypic.com/i3ulgi.png --AburnettTalk 16:53, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Here's what it looks like for me: http://i40.tinypic.com/25g5wk3.jpg
- I guess I'm just running at a different screen resolution. --Sully 17:16, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yah, that's a bummer. That Castle Crashers bar image at the bottom is really the root of this problem.... --AburnettTalk 17:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Can we move that image to the top (above the main info box), centered? --Sully 17:26, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- I cropped the knights out which made it significantly smaller. see how that works. --AburnettTalk 17:33, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Now the box that that image is in has a vertical scroll =P --Sully 17:38, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- I know, I added that on purpose so that things wouldn't force the box larger than it should be. --AburnettTalk 17:39, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Just throwing this out there- couldn't we get rid of the recent changes box, then make the Develpment Blog box wider and the Quick Links and Getting started boxes less wide? Those two boxes are way wider than they need to be.--Sully 17:41, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

New main page part 2
I overhauled the main page so it isn't copying the CC wikia's layout. We'll obviously revert if the old layout is preferred. --Sully 21:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
