[edit] Attacks
- Ice bolt:
He charges a orb in his hand and then shoots ice out in a straight line.
- Ice spawn:
An area around him becomes darker, the darker area will spawn icicles.
- Summon Icicles:
Huge icicles drop from the ceiling trying to smash you. They will always appear above you; once he's lost about three quarters of his health he will always use this attack unless it's already in effect. The icicles will also drop much, much more quickly.
Note that between attacks, he'll simply stop, point, and laugh at you. Naturally, this should be exploited by attacking him.
[edit] Background
The Frost King presumably made the Ice Castle, and had the Iceskimos guard it.
[edit] Involvement
He was given the Blue Princess by the Thieves, and took her to his castle.
[edit] Strategy
When the boss fight begins The Frost King will stand and taunt you. After about 3 seconds of taunting he will teleport. While he is standing taunting you, you can attack him. A white will ball will appear in his hand and when the center white meets with the outside white ice will come up out of the ground and may freeze you. It is recommended that you use the YYX juggle combo when he is doing this, or grab the yeti before you head into the castle. The Frost King has another attack where he will charge up an ice ball behind him and, just like with his first attck, when the inside meets the outside the attack will be fired and a row of icicles will shoot up in a horizontal line in the direction the Frost |King is facing. After he meets about half health The Frost King will start making icicles fall from the roof, which are also avoidable with the yeti. Occasionally, he will go ball the white ball move. He is damageable at any time but recommended you attack when he taunts or uses the white ball move, he will never revert to his second attack while in this mode. When his health gets to a quarter left he will only make ice fall from the roof and taunt. You must dodge the ice and attack The Frost King.
[edit] Production
Many times in creating the artwork in Castle Crashers, Tom Fulp creates placeholders for Dan Paladin to create final versions of.
[edit] Additional Information
- His scream may be a throwback reference to Howard Dean.
