The Evil Wizard is the game's final enemy and is responsible for kidnapping the Princesses and stealing the King's giant crystal. He is fought in the Final Battle level after defeating the Crystal Shards. The Evil Wizard takes on different forms over the course of the battle, the fifth and final form being the true Wizard wielding the Demon Sword. When the Evil Wizard is defeated, the giant crystal is retrieved, the Orange Princess is rescued, and the game is completed.
Forcefield Form
For his first form, the Evil Wizard uses a forcefield that alternates in color between blue and red. While the forcefield is blue, the Evil Wizard is impervious to weapon attacks and can only be damaged with Magic attacks. While the forcefield is red, the Evil Wizard is impervious to Magic attacks and can only be damaged with weapon, bomb, and arrow attacks. If the wrong type of attack is used, damage and effects such as freezing are redirected to the player. The Evil Wizard's movement speeds up as he sustains damage. He is equipped with the Practice Foil.
Balloon Form
After the Forcefield Form is defeated, the Evil Wizard inflates into a spinning balloon that floats in circles around the level. The Evil Wizard cannot damage players directly in this form; he instead occasionally drops white spheres that explode when they hit the ground.
Spider Form
After defeating the Balloon Form, a giant treasure chest drops on the Evil Wizard, crushing him. When players break open the chest to obtain their treasure, the Evil Wizard climbs out- this time in the form of a giant spider.
While in Spider Form, the Evil Wizard floats atop the level and attacks players with its giant legs. He spawns Cult Minions, in an attempt to maintain two Minions on screen at all times. He will not spawn another Minion until one dies.
Balloon Form #2
After the Spider Form is defeated, the Evil Wizard again transforms into a spinning balloon that floats in circles around the level and drops exploding white spheres.
Final Form
After defeating the Balloon Form for the second time, the Evil Wizard returns to his normal form and summons the Demon Sword. He then runs around the level, jumps straight into the air, and launches four fireballs that rain down on players. He also does a spinning cartwheel from one side of the level to the other when you are close to him or he'll do a long spread magic. When the Final Form is defeated, then Evil Wizard drops the Demon Sword and the level breaks apart in a giant explosion causing all players to start falling. Players must land on the giant crystal which causes them to catch the Orange Princess and starts the ending sequence.
